Your privacy choices

Your family’s story stays in your control.

This page explains the practical controls available for permissions, family membership, invitations, downloads, data access, exports, and account deletion.

At a glance

The important part, first.

  • You decide which photos and videos Bloom receives and when the camera or microphone opens.
  • Family members and their permissions can be reviewed and revoked inside Bloom.
  • You can request your data or permanently delete your account.

1. Device permissions

Camera, Photos, Microphone, and Notifications permissions can be changed at any time in iPhone Settings. Turning off a permission stops the related feature until you allow it again.

2. Optional app analytics

Open Bloom Settings and turn off Share app analytics to stop new optional Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection. Bloom resets Firebase Analytics data on that device and does not use analytics for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Family access and invitations

Family owners control who belongs to the private family space and whether members can post, comment or download. Removing a member stops future access through that account. New invitations open Bloom or help the invitee download the app; they do not reveal family content in a browser. If an older browser-only link remains active, the family owner can revoke it from Legacy browser access in Settings.

4. Access and export

Use Bloom’s export tools where available, or email support@storybybloom.com to request a copy of personal data associated with your account. Bloom may need to verify that you own the account before responding.

5. Delete your account

In Bloom, open Settings, choose Delete Account, and follow the confirmation steps. Deletion removes the Bloom account and schedules associated cloud content for deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Keep any export you need before confirming.
